Animated Minds: Stories of Postnatal Depression is a series of 5 films highlighting personal stories of perinatal mental health issues. Animation is combined with personal testimony to give honesty and power to the narratives of 5 parents who have endured the trauma, fear and anxiety of mental distress before ultimately finding a way through.
This series was produced for Wellcome Trust and the Maudsley Charity.
MIKE’S STORY
Explores the challenge of watching your partner transform into a different person, overcome with anxiety and insomnia. How do you support your wife, hold down a job and look after your newborn baby as all sense of normality collapses around you?
